Gratitude Without Hustle: My 2026 Theme | Attitude of Gratitude
Share
December has a way of turning the volume up. More lists; more deadlines; more expectations; more noise.
So I’m choosing something simple on purpose.
In 2026, my theme is Attitude of Gratitude.
Not as a performance. Not as a personality. Not as a way to bypass what’s hard.
As a practice.
What I mean by “gratitude without hustle”
A lot of the time, gratitude gets packaged like a productivity tool: be grateful so you can stay positive; stay positive so you can stay motivated; stay motivated so you can do more.
That’s not what I’m doing.
For me, gratitude is nervous-system work. It’s the moment your body stops bracing long enough to notice what’s actually supporting you.
It can be small:
- A resource you rely on; a warm drink; a quiet room
- A person who steadies you; a text message; a kind cashier
- A breath that drops your shoulders by half an inch
That’s real gratitude. Not because everything is perfect, but because you’re present enough to feel what’s true.
Why I’m choosing this theme now
I’ve spent enough years in “push” mode to know the difference between momentum and pressure.
Pressure makes the body tighten. It makes the mind rush. It makes creativity feel like a demand.
Gratitude—when it’s gentle and embodied—does the opposite. It helps you come back into your life. It helps you hear yourself again.
And honestly? I want a year that feels livable.
What this will look like in January (Beginner’s Grace)
I’m starting the year with an era I’m calling Beginner’s Grace.
That means:
- Small practices over big promises
- Presence over perfection
- Consistency over intensity
I’ll be sharing simple prompts and reflections that you can try in real life—especially on days when you’re tired, tender, or overstimulated.
A tiny practice to try today (no hustle required)
If you want to begin right now, try this:
- Exhale slowly (longer than you think you need to)
- Inhale gently
- Name one true thing you appreciate in this moment
That’s it.
Not a full routine. Not a transformation. Just a return.
Your turn (and I’d love a real answer)
If you’re willing, I’d love to hear from you.
What would gratitude without hustle look like in your life?
If you want to share, email me your answer in one or two sentences.
I read every message.
I’ll be here, practicing right alongside you.
